We juice fruit five days a week.
Each day fresh fruit comes to Brämhults from every corner of the world. We
juice the fruit five days a week to ensure that you get juice that is as
freshly squeezed as possible.
The freshly squeezed juice is bottled and then transported to supermarkets
as quickly as possible. This has to be done quickly because freshly squeezed
fruit juice is a perishable product and must be treated as such and kept
refrigerated at every stage.
The selection of juices you find on the shelves at any time depends partly
on the weather and the season, and partly on our curiosity! The weather and
season decide which fruits are best at the time, and because we only use the
best fruit, our product range varies a little depending on the time of year.
As for curiosity, it probably lies behind most of our juice combinations. We
enjoy mixing and testing and tasting the way forward. Occasionally the
results can be unexpected … like when we came up with Strawberry-Lime. It
was late one evening, the day before Midsummer’s Eve, when we tried juicing
limes, only to find that the juice was so sour it was actually impossible to
drink. So what do you do when you find yourself with several hundred litres
of the finest lime juice and don’t know what to do with it?
Well, you naturally try to find something to mix it with. We looked at what
we had on hand, and when we tried mixing the lime juice with crushed
strawberries everyone became lyrical! We wrote down the recipe and at the
end of the day everyone wanted to take along Strawberry-Lime to their
midsummer celebrations. Strawberry-Lime subsequently became one of our
favourite fruit drinks!
